Tiger knew better ... No excuses

powered by Hipcast.com

The ring on the fourth finger of the left hand is supposed to mean something when you place it on a woman's hand. The ring is a symbol which conveys a promise, a promise to love and be faithful.

Tiger knew better ... Anyone excusing his behavior is wrong. Those who are making excuses such as, "we cannot understand the pressures someone like Tiger is under," are ridiculous. Tiger is no different than anyone else.

I often say, "It don't mean a thing if you don't wear that ring." I will add, "Once you put on that ring, it means everything."

President's speech leaves me hollow

powered by Hipcast.com

The President's address to the cadets at West Point left me feeling sick to my stomach. I cannot understand why he does not get it. The President had all this time to prepare his plans and he simply did not deliver.

The President must put American interest first. He did not do this. He did not establish clear benchmarks that would defined our path to victory.

After 2 years of telling America during the campaign that George Bush was fighting the wrong war and ten months of being President, this is the best he has. Damn disappointing.

Westbrook School Super seeks to cut budget, not quality in classroom

powered by Hipcast.com

In difficult economic times, an analysis and a clear statement of priorities is criticial for any organization to move forward and take charge of their own destiny. Westbook's relatively new school super seems to understand and embrace such a concept and after cutting almost 600,000 dollars from un-necessary administrative costs, has laid down the charge that we must cut another two million dollars from the next budget cycle.

Real Friends vs Flattering Enemies

Sam Adams expressed his concern in a letter that his long-time ally John Hancock, who had just been elected Governor of Massachusetts, was having a difficult time remembering who are his real friends and who are his flattering enemies.

I see this same drama un-folding right now in our national debate over health care and health care insurance, although, frankly, this drama un-folds over any real issue of importance.

Why we are thankful

powered by Hipcast.com

This is Thanksgiving week and while we still have to address the issues of the day, I don't want to forget to take time to address why we are so thankful to live in this great country. Please post "why I am thankful" at my radio website, wlobradio.com or hit me on Facebook at either "ray richardson" or "the ray and ted show."

This is the greatest country the world has ever known and while we are in a rough spot right now, we must never forget why we all love this nation so much.
